ABSTRACT
Taymuraz of Mukhrani became administrator of Kartli for Shah Abbas in 1623; he died the following year and was succeeded by his younger brother Kay Khusrau (Khozdrov) who married a Gurieli princess and died in 1627. Taymuraz was the grandfather of Wakhtang V and ancestor of the brilliant line of Mukhranian Bagratids who ruled Kartli until 1724. Kay Khusrau was the father of the Catholicos Domenti II (16601676) (cf. Brosset, HG, Vol. II/i, Genealogical Trees, p. 626).
