ABSTRACT
We have seen so far that social work practice in regional, rural and remote contexts shares values, ethics and a knowledge base with social work in urban contexts. We have also seen that the context of practice around these core characteristics is shaped and reshaped by a range of particular contextual elements and relationships. These include environmental factors, place and distance, the level and diversity of monetary, human and other resources available, local connections, population density, employment and culture.
