ABSTRACT

The Spandan Spectrum of Human Values 2011 has identified the following four group-oriented human values: Cooperative attitude, Empathy Transformative listening Sensitivity to others feelings and needs Social sensitivity, Mutual understanding and respect Psychological contract, Team spirit. Empathy is an essential characteristic of the Mother, and, as the concept of maternalistic management advocates, a requirement for management to develop the skills, attitude and ability to understand the needs of others without even being asked. Management need to develop empathic listening to be sensitive enough to deal with people and matters effectively. Mutual understanding and respect emanates from the Transformational Human Value belief in the innate divinity in human beings. Team spirit is an important concept in group dynamics. Also referred to as esprit de corps, team spirit denotes the readiness with which members of a team come together and help each other beyond the prescribed requirements of the given job.
