ABSTRACT

Material comforts and happiness as Terminal Human Values in the Spandan Spectrum of Human Values owe their origin to the longing of human beings for, in the ultimate analysis, progress and peace, prosperity and tranquillity, and a standard of living and a standard of life (see Chapters 3, 18 and 21). The aim, therefore, is twofold: first, to work for their enhancement, i.e. increased material comforts and greater happiness; second, to maintain and improve the balance between them.
