ABSTRACT

The development of the risk-management process has developed a new arm in recent years: the introduction of enterprise-wide risk management Information Technology (IT) systems. Workshop at the end (WAE) means the risk identification researches and risk modelling have to be done before the workshop takes place, but this in turn means the research will be done more likely than not on a one-to-one basis, with proper time and attention given to each interviewee. In a viable risk management plan the analyst seeks to inform the project manager which risks they are responsible for managing, and to ensure the funders know this and have funded the exposure. Finally, whether workshops are WAE or workshop at the start (WAS), an analyst must always remember that they represent the interests of the client, and that of those attending a workshop, they may be the only one with that responsibility.
