ABSTRACT

This chapter explores how the team member is feeling and to ascertain what support they feel that they need to make their next transition, which may be returning to their job or may be starting a new role. This is very much an element of good practice' and should always form part of the project wind-down for longer-term projects as it helps people to accept the loss of the project and move on positively. Team-level interventions is important from both a practical and a psychological perspective that the project is reviewed by the team to explore which actions and behaviours were successful, which were less so and which were unsuccessful. The practical benefit of this type of in-depth review is that it contributes to the individual learning of the project team and helps them to understand their own development needs with regard to future projects or roles.
