ABSTRACT
The methodology adopted consists in the review of the pertinent literature published both in English and in Portuguese. Although it was not possible to conduct a fi eld study, from the analysis of the literature we identifi ed a certain pattern of issues in relation to the novel housing program adopted in Brazil, which thus informed our assessment and conclusion.
