ABSTRACT
This book emphasizes the importance of making the process of digital visualization of cultural heritage transparent. The records of this process, or paradata, should be made a standard, integral part of heritage visualization practice. It is only then, the contributors argue, that computer-based visualization of cultural heritage can be recognized as a valid scholarly method for studying and presenting cultures of the past.
