ABSTRACT
Critical spatial artistic practices have emerged within the last decade as a new frontier of social scientic inquiry. Common to these practices is the challenge they pose to traditional disciplinary boundaries as hybrid vocational identities and collaborations between artists and scholars. Introducing Free Speech on Wheels, Let Your Opinion Roll (FSOW) as an exemplary project, we highlight how vehicles have been used to explore, enact, and perform nonmarket forms of spatial and cultural inquiry.
