Hidden Links? Going Missing as an Indicator of Child Sexual Exploitation

Child sexual exploitation (CSE) is receiving increased attention from the police and other professionals. This is due to a number of highly publicised cases such as Operation Span (Rochdale), Operation Retriever (Derbyshire), Operation Central (Rotherham), Operation Chalice (Telford), Operation Mansfield (Torbay) and Operation Bullfinch (Oxfordshire). It is also a consequence of significant government attention to the issue, including the development of the Tackling Child Sexual Exploitation: Action Plan (Department for Education, 2011).
