ABSTRACT

Asmentioned inChapter 1, the internal structure of this book is based on a number of

statements about theorizing in social science; namely, that curiosity is a driver and that

there are one or more questions to be answered, or a proposition to be verified, and

the question or proposition has to dowith different types of social relations and relata.

The aim of social science is to create knowledge and in order to create knowledge,

questions or statements must be expressed. Displays are facilitators in the sometimes

messy process of trying to answer these questions or verify these statements.
