ABSTRACT

A semi-structured interview format was selected, which allowed flexibility for both the researcher and respondents to focus on major issues. This chapter explains the analysis of interview findings and summary of interviews. Detailed understanding of the qualitative results is important for fine-tuning the theoretical framework and for developing the advanced model of innovation adoption (AMIA). The interview questions related to the factors in the research model, specifically training, managerial support, incentives, perceived usefulness, personal innovativeness, prior experience and image, enjoyment with innovation, peers and social network. Respondents believed that managerial support is important in accepting an innovation or system because it will be difficult to learn it without their support. The in-depth interviews support the development of the advanced model and assist further understanding of the factors that affect adoption of innovation by employees in an organization. Management needs to provide quick responses to employees' needs and requirements.
