ABSTRACT
This chapter ties together the strands of argument presented above; it links the model of discursive legal certainty to rhetoric. In this respect, it builds on the concept of ideal particular audiences and evaluates the rhetorical possibilities available in the Court’s reasoning and the implications of those strategies from the standpoint of acceptability.
