ABSTRACT
Although often considered as a result, a listing as a cultural landscape on the World Heritage list 1 actually represents a new beginning for the place concerned because it implies, on the one hand, the creation of a new territory for protection and political action, and on the other, the implementation of new types of management which comply with the requirements of UNESCO policy. 2
