ABSTRACT

The previous chapters outlined the performance factors that influence IMUEs at both parent/owner and subsidiary/partner level, followed by consideration of the activities and practices of field-based local leaders. Understanding what local leaders should do in IMUEs is important, but this book would be incomplete without addressing the skillsbased, behavioural and cognitive personal characteristics that IMUEs require from this vital cohort to expedite key operational imperatives. More importantly, how do they develop these characteristics?
