ABSTRACT

To improve integrity in your company, and across the global markets landscapes, a zero tolerance approach to corruption and accountability is key to building a good foundation. Companies that are committed to conducting business with integrity are required to ensure their compliance programs have streamlined their monitoring and reporting responsibilities. The pressure to produce short-term results can sideline the virtue of conducting business with integrity. Integrity is one of the most important corporate values and, while it may be seem to be difficult to put into practice without resorting to micro-management, the reality is that the success of any company, whatever the industry, needs a positive business reputation that centers on integrity. Fortunately, there is a resolution: self-policing. Integrity relies on having a great internal control system where proper due diligence techniques and whistle-blower programs exists. A company must find ways to incorporate the message of integrity into its culture and police itself in order to ensure integrity.
