ABSTRACT

In the previous chapter we outlined the nature and scope of narrative method, with a view to originating self-renewal, embodied for us, as for Canadian Professor of Literature William Randall, in the stories we are (becoming). Such a process, underlying your inner calling, narratively so to speak, we shall now follow with a well-articulated example of enterprise renewal, that of Canon in Japan and the way key protagonists have activated its outer calling. In fact this narrative is most specifically embodied in what Canon itself has termed co-evolution, or kyosei in Japanese, and what we term conscious evolution, whereby, if you like, Canon generally, and its Life President in the 1990s, Ryuzaburo Kaku, were called to co-evolve!
