ABSTRACT

Where should you start in improving innovation in your firm? What are the areas you should prioritise? Who should you involve? These are important questions and need to be answered well, after good consideration. Unfortunately partners and managers can be as guilty of ‘knee-jerk’ decision-making as the man in the street and grasp for anything that promises a quick fix.

What about a new piece of software to support an Ideas Management System?

Or improving your new service development process (you do have one, don’t you)?

Perhaps a good dose of creativity training for your employees?

Do more brainstorming sessions?

Maybe a Balanced Scorecard with innovation included to ensure that we are focusing on this?

What about establishing an ‘Innovation Room’ complete with whacky furniture, table football and big whiteboards… ?
