ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book discusses the results of the research study into constructing a viable Human Resource Management (HRM) system for the project-oriented organization in order to raise the HR-related potential that projects can bring. While the goal of the working model was to provide a structure to analyse a HRM system in the context of the project-oriented organization, the final Model: project-oriented HRM system serves as one possible way of describing a viable HRM system for the project-oriented organization. As the project-oriented organization applies permanent and temporary structures, the organization is a rather differentiated and decentralized organization. Essential stakeholders of a project-oriented HRM system are the HR department and the Project Management Office. Project personnel are an important group of personnel in the project-oriented organization. The HRM system uses Managing by Projects as organizational strategy.
