ABSTRACT

Leadership can be perceived as a particularly emotion-laden process, with emotions entwined with the social influence process. Leadership style refers to a leader's behaviour. This chapter shows that people with emotional problems are 144 per cent more likely to have automobile accidents than those who do not have such problems. Time management issues are especially tough for people in the middle layers of management. In some companies, project managers have no choice in managing priorities because of the multi-hat challenge. Although a project manager cannot delegate everything in a project, delegating can make a project managers complete life easier. The project manager must spend a lot of time understanding and listening to their team members. All good project leadership is based on relationships. Leaders are used to having others accommodate their personalities.
