ABSTRACT

In the introduction to this work it was claimed that Goddess feminism could be

characterized by reference to its attitudes to the categories of deity, femaleness, nature

and politics. That is, it was claimed that for the Goddess feminist these categories

are conceived and experienced as inseparable from and also mutually informing one

another. It is important to affirm at this point, however, that in Goddess feminism it is

the whole of reality qua nature that is divine, sexed and politicized; an understanding

of reality that is rarely emphasized in other contemporary religions and spiritualities.
