ABSTRACT

Technocapitalism, corporate power, and corporatocratic governance involve conquest on a global scale. It is a form of conquest unlike any humanity has previously experienced, because of the fundamental influence that technology and science play in it, and because of corporatism's capacity to colonize our relationships with society, life and nature. The technologies associated with technocapitalism and with its globalization pretend to have an unprecedented degree of autonomy from society. The kind of neo-imperialism associated with technocapitalism, fast neoimperialism, has major roles to play in this panorama of global conquest. The fragmentation of society and of human existence an important tool of domination for corporatocracy and corporate power. Fragmentation is in multiple dimensions, at the global level, at the macro-societal scale, at the level of communities, groups, and also individually in our lives and daily routines, is a formidable vehicle for corporatocratic conquest.
