ABSTRACT

The framework can be implemented in a reduced number of projects, in order to measure the costs and benefits before a global deployment. This chapter may form a project proposal, which presents the requirements of the people who participated in the survey and the Global Project Management Framework that can satisfy them. If the proposal is accepted, the results might form the project charter, describing how to implement the framework and measure the stakeholder satisfaction. Beyond stakeholder needs identified by qualitative instruments, the framework can also address more specific organisational requirements. One of the reasons may be the lack of communication skills and cultural awareness from the global project managers. If the organisation detects that traditional projects have the same needs, this may be a good opportunity to implement a corporate standard for project management together with the Global Project Management Framework, using as a basis one of the existing bodies of knowledge.
