ABSTRACT
This conclusion presents some closing thoughts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The books contributors have demonstrated, the scope and degree to which feminist methods and practices permeate design research and architectural endeavors are quite varied, inclusive and diverse. It presents design research, teaching and practices that is adding to and expanding feminist discourse and the disciplinary design knowledge. The book helps to bring communities into action through the architects design processes and proposals. Feminist Practices in Design explores architectures agency through questioning the body's experience in space. It highlights inventive pedagogical practices and collaborations. Feminist Practices showcases the next generation of architects exploring alternative modes of practice within our everyday experiences. As architect Francesca Hughes writes, critical practice shatter the singular purpose and nature of architectural production into multiple practices for multiple architectures, pertinent to multiple genders.
