ABSTRACT

This chapter proposes an answer that facilitates both the professor's and the student's emancipation, in order to help future managers to become aware of their social responsibility. Our solution is the critical pedagogy approach, which people complement with two concepts: intersubjectivity and evaluative cognition. Many organizations are driven only by economic profit, people identified that changes in its reality are possible by the action of reflective managers. The chapter presents the problem, the need to change the current reality and what critical pedagogy states. Research literature tells that critical pedagogy approach takes into account, concerns about totality and social construction. It was Giroux who elaborated the bases of the critical pedagogy. Giroux's takes inspiration from the critical theory which emerges from the Frankfurt school. The chapter elaborates two aides for the process of planning and evaluation, it proposes questions and reflections based on Benson's theory; and present some practical examples for the process of direction and controlling.
