ABSTRACT

According to the British Library catalogue, this pamphlet was written by Henry Sheres (also Shere and Sheeres), the Surveyor-General of the mole who succeeded Hugh Cholmley in 1676. There are at least two editions of this pamphlet that came out in 1680 carrying the same title. One was printed in a single volume; the other was published alongside another text, The Present Interest in Tangier, written by a different author. Both texts appeared again in print in 1810 as part of a large collection of pamphlets. 1
