ABSTRACT
Educational systems provide a vital resource that enables people to acquire the skills, knowledge and understanding they need in order to conduct their lives. Increasingly, computer-based performance support tools are being used in various ways in order to augment educational provision. This chapter discusses the basic nature of educational provision and describes some of the ways in which Electronic Performance Support Systems (EPSS) and/or tools can be used to enhance the educational opportunities that can be made available to their users.
