ABSTRACT
The Lord God himself makes us know how to please him. He makes light come upon his own and gives grace and blessings to them according to his good pleasure and in great goodness and mercy. It is true, beloved in our Lord Jesus, that already about 13 or 14 years ago, the good and faithful servant of God, doctor and pastor of the Church, Johannes Oecolampadius, by request of some good people. The good God touches the heart of all, so that in all humility, fear and reverence of his holy name, all would approach him in the name of Jesus. People will read, hear and study holy scripture in his name. By the power of the Spirit scripture will be received and understood according to the good will of God. This will is declared for us in scripture so that we can comprehend it. It needs to be entirely kept, purely observed and fully accomplished.
