ABSTRACT
Participants are given a word search puzzle and have ten minutes to solve it. The group then discusses the terms on the puzzle. Terms: induction, orientation, inductee, handbook, security, benefits, payslip, compliance, personnel, new, work, job, coffee, tea, lunch, fun. Distribute a copy of the word-search puzzle to each participant. Use the words in Words game as an introduction and overview to the rest of the induction programme. People can make a copy of the puzzle on an overhead transparency and have the group do the puzzle together giving people instructions to mark the words. Send out an Adobe Acrobat file (a PDF) of the puzzle and have participants download it. The first person to solve the puzzle and get it back to people electronically gets a prize. Or they can make a copy of the PDF, solve the puzzle, then make a PDF of the solution and e-mail it back to people.
