ABSTRACT
What we now know, in addition to all this, is that vehicle feedback also affects driver SA. Establishing a link between SA and driver feedback provides an additional structure in support of experiential knowledge; it extends and compliments control-theoretic models of the driver/vehicle system; and it offers an explanation for what drivers do, cognitively, with the feedback psychophysics shows them to be so sensitive to.
