ABSTRACT

This chapter reviews the results of the questionnaire study. It gives a snapshot of how some diversity and inclusion professionals view their organizations, their effectiveness within their organizations, and their satisfaction with their roles. The questionnaire explored the extent to which diversity management strategies have been successful, and if there was any correlation between it, and several independent variables, which were as follows: business sector; corporate motivation; corporate culture; senior leadership engagement; organizational equity; and perceptions of organizational diversity. The data show diversity management strategies are most effective when organizational equity is low, although here is much larger variation and standard deviation in diversity management performance within this category. There is a little statistical difference between the different levels of organizational equity, which would lead one to believe its presence overall does not have much of an overall impact on the effectiveness of the diversity management strategy.
