ABSTRACT
I have written this section for two reasons. The first is to act as a summary of what has gone before, to be a convenient reminder of some of the key issues raised through out the book. The second is for those people (and I number myself as one of them) who invariably start at the end of a book and read the conclusions or summary to decide whether the book is worth reading in the first place. It is to both audiences that this section is directed.
