With the phenomenal growth in social networking sites such as Facebook, Linkedin and MySpace there is a wealth of information that candidates have declared about themselves and is just waiting to be discovered by any employer who may have doubts about them Whilst employers can insure against fraud by employees, a better selection system and post-employment audits are far cheaper, provide better financial returns and certainly less adverse publicity. Separation costs can be very expensive. In addition to the advice on page concerning individuals here are some suggestions to ensure that poor selection decisions do not progress to be poor employment decisions.
