Landscape revolution goes behind the political transformation, and can be as fatal and turbulent as any revolution can be. Cleansing or preserving a landscape feature is an act of historical policy and represents local, regional and national needs and expectations. Van Gennep's structure consisted of a pre-liminal phase, a liminal phase, and a post-liminal phase. Liminal transformation of Central European cultural landscape consists of multiple separations, transitions and reincorporation, expressed in political statements, every day practices and living spaces. The process of communist icons' transformation has been categorized in three main types: elimination of reflective icons, transition of intentions and reincorporation of new social constructions to the deep-rooted landscape features. Changing and eliminating unwanted features or residua of the political landscapes were among the most demanded and sometimes risky tasks decision-makers and managers.
