ABSTRACT
The offences examined in this chapter are often regarded as outdated, anachronistic and rarely-used. They are largely associated with the former days of the absolute monarchy in Britain or thought to be confined to war-time situations. These crimes are usually seen as punishing activities in support of a foreign enemy.
