ABSTRACT
While Isabella was more open about her Pagan identity and her image was different from many others, there were also strong similarities between her and other Pagans. Paganism provides individuals with a framework within which it is possible to reinterpret and re-evaluate themselves and their relationship to their subjectively experienced world. Contemporary paganism acts as an identity-enhancing religious choice by allowing participants to perceive as positive those elements of their biography and personality that they had previously evaluated negatively. A concepts from Neo-Paganism entered the mainstream media, albeit in partial, commercialized, sexed-up, and to varying degrees misleading fictionalized forms which made Pagans both cringe and chuckle. For all Maltese Witches and Pagans though, not just the youthful, the Internet is an important tool for learning about Pagan spirituality, and chatting with Pagans globally and locally. The evil eye is a belief complex widespread in the Mediterranean, North Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia.
