ABSTRACT

In Christian belief, the paradise “Garden of Eden” has two trees: the tree of knowledge, and the tree of life. In Chinese Feng Shui theory, a courtyard should have at least two trees to guard against misfortune. This concluding chapter takes these metaphors and is organized in three sections: contribution to the tree of knowledge, contribution to the tree of life, and creation of courtyard garden houses.
