ABSTRACT
Having engaged in the benchmarking of a cost engineering function, there is a significant amount of work that can be conducted prior to any workshop. Conducting a pre-workshop analysis of the organisation’s cost estimating process and documentation will save time in the workshop and familiarise the assessors with the organisation’s capability, terminology and acronyms.
