ABSTRACT

The ethical decision-making model is crucial to linking between the ethical horizon of meaning and values that first arise, the ethical theories, fundamental ethical frameworks, ethical principles and ethical guidelines, and the specific ethical dilemmas faced by the individual decision-makers and organizations. Working with an ethical decision model is essential in order to evaluate and assess the specific ethical dilemmas and ethical issues in private businesses and public organizations. Decision models and their related decision-making processes include the five basic steps described in this chapter toward an informed ethical decision. In relation to the settlement of this decision process, it is important that the business managers and decision-makers during the evaluation should address any negative consequences and eventually modify their decision. This is especially necessary if it turns out that there are ethical issues that are not resolved.
