ABSTRACT
How something is said is as important as what is said. The method of communication actually becomes part of the message and so needs to be appropriate for the content. Imagine being made redundant by text message, sending the message in this way shouts disrespect, very different from a oneto-one meeting in a supportive environment which, while the news isn’t good, at least demonstrates respect for the employee.
