ABSTRACT

There is a fundamental dilemma typical for all commercially funded projects of very high complexity: on the one hand they require highest levels of sophistication in various management disciplines. On the other, there is a natural tendency to limit the costs associated with the management aspects of such projects. The theme of this book was that the dilemma can be resolved by concentrating on some essential elements of the various management disciplines and integrating them in an intelligent and pragmatic, yet holistic way. In other words: complex commercial projects require a dedicated management approach.
