ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts of the concepts discussed in the preceeding chapters of this book. The book explores the awareness of the differences in terms of culture and the understanding of work processes and approach has hopefully been reduced. It worth's reflecting that, in general, across the business and project communities, good practice on how to run effective projects is well known. To address these challenges, both the business and the project need to be actively aware of the risks of fear, lack of interest, over-optimism, personal biases and poor incentives. The book discusses by taking time to consider these dimensions and their interplay with the lifecycle stages and through-project strands, a self-aware and informed approach can be taken to establishing and maintaining a culture that will bridge the business and project divide. In reality, the bridge does not need to be built it is actually already there.
