ABSTRACT
In the concluding three chapters of this book, emphasis is now placed upon the applied and academic value of visual data that may be generated as part of sociological research. Whilst this discussion centres primarily upon the empirical research described during this book, it is important to note that the issues raised throughout Part III are equally valid, and as relevant, in studies that do not necessarily concern injecting drug use. As such, the following chapters may be regarded as an explanatory template and/or empirical framework for those who may wish to consider the use of visual data as part of applied/academic sociological inquiry.
