ABSTRACT

This chapter divides stakeholders into two groups: owners and managers. It outlines some of their measurement interests and requirements for the purposes of digital strategy and governance. Corporate leadership provides the funding and therefore has a vested interest in the success of digital strategy and an ongoing concern that governance is met. Managers run the programs and systems and include line management, staff and their suppliers-they need to meet owner's expectations and deliver in an efficient and effective manner on the digital strategy. The owners have the authority to make things happen and must give direction backed up with adequate support and sponsorship so that managers can realistically balance requirements with available resources, and if required, make additional resources available. The owners recruit managers to run the systems and programs and give them a mandate to build an organization and the necessary infrastructure for successful execution.
