ABSTRACT
Contemporary Aborigines, like everyone else, are influenced by the world they find themselves in and to varying degrees by the heritage of their ancestral past. They may also be influenced by popular and ‘expert’ ideas about their relationship to nature of the kind discussed in Chapters One and Two. It is hard to make any assessment of whether this is so without making comparisons between contemporary Aboriginal voices and traditional views.
