ABSTRACT
IN Purchas his Pi/grimes, Volume Iv, immediately following the reprint of Harcourt's Relation of a f/oyage to Guiana, there is included (Bk vi, Chap. xvn) a" Relation of the habitations and other Observations of the River of Marwin and the adjoyning Regions," with a marginal note in which Purchas states that he had found the document fair-written amongst Mr Hakluyt's papers but knew not who was the author.
