ABSTRACT

The problem of evil has been discussed and examined by many western philosophers and theologians in the past and it continues to be a mystery. No real solution or answer has been given to the question of evil in this world. It remains to be the greatest challenge of belief in the God of traditional theism, and is used as one of the arguments against God’s existence. 1 Mostly theologians were the ones who believed that evil was not something to be discussed but rather something that needs to be faced without probably losing faith in God; for the problem is logical and the premises are incompatible: God exists; God is good; God is omnipotent; God is omniscient; the world contains evil.
