ABSTRACT

THIS herb bringeth forth smooth-edged leaves by pares, they are rough and like mouse-ear. The stalks are smooth at their first putting out, but they afterwards grow rough, where the uppermost leaves grow : they are roundish at the bottom. At the end of the stalk groweth a white flower out of its perianthium, the number of its leaves I did not tell, nor had I time enough to observe the seed. The root is round and slender, with small and tender fibers.
