ABSTRACT
The animals of Spitsbergen here described, are either those with two or with four legs. About Spitsbergen also are some creatures that live only in the water, and have no legs f except one would take their fins that are about their breast for legs, because, as hereafter shatt be shewn, their fins are jointed li&e legs underneath the skin). Some live in the water, and also upon the ice and land, and have either two or four legs.
