ABSTRACT
On December 3, 2015, a ‘Green Building Day’ was organised in Paris as part of the official programme of the Paris Climate Summit. It was the first time the built environment was so prominently featured at a conference of the parties (COP) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The event signified the growing importance that governments and other stakeholders attribute to the built environment in reaching climate mitigation targets.
